The sound system was off the charts and I have NEVER heard a sound system like the one at the Garage since!! As you can tell from the recording, which is over 20yrs old, the sound system was great (yea you can tell by listening to this one!).
I would like to thank Ralph from the site www.agaragetribute.com for letting me use the pictures above taken by Paul Mckee. Hi All!! I grew up in Newark, NJ where the partying was fantastic! I had clubs in NJ to go to as well as being 15-20 mins away from NYC. I partied hard and really love music. I have partied up and down the east coast and was in the military for a while and partied all over the world during that time frame. I recently purchased Virtual DJ and then 2 Denon S1000s wanting to mix myself. I haven't touched a mixer since the 80s :-). I have mixes I do as well as tapes I have held on to from back in the day that I will post called "SHOEBOX CLASSICS". I haven't DJ'd since the early 80's, but I want to share with you the music that I grew up with because they don't make cuts like this anymore!
